MyVAID — Terms of Service

MyVAID is operated by Ops Flow, LLC. These terms are an agreement between you and Ops Flow, LLC ("we," "us," "Ops Flow"). By creating an account or using myvaid.com, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What MyVAID is

MyVAID is a self-serve web application. You answer questions about your business, and the service generates a written report recommending software tools, with setup guidance and estimated costs.

The service is fully automated. No person reviews your inputs or writes your report.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. MyVAID is intended for business use. Do not use it on behalf of an organization unless you are authorized to bind that organization to these terms.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account credentials and for everything that happens under your account. Use a password you do not use elsewhere. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

We may suspend or close an account that is being used in breach of these terms.

4. Plans and pricing

Free. One report per calendar month, with a limited number of visible recommendations.

Pro. $29 per month. Unlimited reports, a recommendation for each problem you select up to eight, alternative tools for each recommendation, the saved tool tracker, and PDF export.

Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST, which is calculated at checkout based on your location and added to the amount charged.

We may change pricing. If we change the price of a plan you are on, we will tell you before the change takes effect on your subscription, and you may cancel before it does.

5. Billing and renewal

Payments are processed by Stripe. Depending on how your purchase is routed, Stripe or one of its affiliates may act as merchant of record and appear as the seller on your receipt. Your card statement will show MYVAID, in some cases preceded by an identifier for the payment provider.

Pro subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize a recurring charge to your payment method at the then-current price plus tax.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend Pro access until payment succeeds.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time from the billing page linked in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. You keep Pro access until then, and your account reverts to Free rather than being deleted.

7. Refunds

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Where a payment provider is acting as merchant of record, that provider may issue refunds under its own policies, including to resolve a payment dispute, and may do so without our prior approval.

Nothing here limits any refund right you have under the consumer law that applies to you.

8. Recommendations are generated by an AI model, and you decide

This is the most important thing in these terms, so it is written plainly.

Your report is produced by an artificial intelligence language model. Model output can be wrong. It can recommend a tool that does not exist, describe features a tool does not have, state a price that is out of date or simply incorrect, or suggest something that is a poor fit for your business.

Reports are informational. They are not professional, financial, legal, accounting, procurement, or technical advice, and they are not a recommendation to enter into any contract. Verify anything that matters, including current pricing and terms, directly with the tool's vendor before you buy or commit.

You are responsible for the decisions you make. We are not responsible for the cost, performance, security, availability, terms, or conduct of any third-party tool a report mentions, and we do not endorse, guarantee, or vouch for any of them.

9. Affiliate links

Affiliate Disclosure. Some links on MyVAID are affiliate links. If you sign up through them, VAID may earn a commission at no extra cost to you.

We participate in affiliate programs. Some links in your report are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up for a tool through one of them, at no additional cost to you.

How this works matters, so to be exact about it: recommendations are generated by the model based on the business and problems you describe. Affiliate links are applied afterward, to whichever tools the model has already chosen. Commissions do not determine which tools are recommended or the order they appear in.

Not every recommended tool has an affiliate relationship, and the presence or absence of one is not a signal about quality.

10. Acceptable use

Do not use MyVAID to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or another user's account. Do not scrape, resell, or systematically extract the service or its output as a substitute for the service itself. Do not submit anyone else's personal information as part of your business description.

You may not create multiple accounts to work around the free tier limit.

11. Your content and your reports

You keep ownership of the information you enter. You grant us the permission we need to process it in order to run the service, including sending it to our model provider to generate your report.

You may use your reports for your own business purposes, including internally and with your advisors.

The service itself, its interface, and its underlying software remain ours.

12. Availability

We aim to keep MyVAID running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. If we discontinue the paid plan entirely, we will stop billing you and let you keep access through the period you have paid for.

13. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Ops Flow, LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption, arising from your use of MyVAID, even if we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these exclusions, in which case they do not apply to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to cover our reasonable costs if a third party brings a claim against us because of your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version.

17. Termination

You may stop using MyVAID and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, for suspected fraud or abuse, or if we are required to. Sections 8 through 15 survive termination.

18. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, and you and we consent to that jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any right you have to bring a claim in your local courts where the law gives you that right.
